Fried Fish




2 – Whole Fish/Bone-in, Rainbow Trout or Catfish
6 oz – All Purpose Flour
2 oz – Cornmeal
2 TBSP – Corn Starch

Mix spices and herbs consisting of:
Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic, Oregano, Thyme, Cumin, Onion, Chili Powder, Paprika, etc.
1 Med. – Egg
1/2 cup buttermilk or water







Wash fish and pat dry with a paper towel.
Combine flour, cornmeal, starch, spices and herbs in a shallow pan.
Beat one egg and butter milk or water together.
Place fish in egg mixture until coated and then generously bread the entire fish,twice!
Heat oil to about 350 – I like coconut oil for fish.
Fry about 25 minutes flipping carefully!
Served with fresh lemon, tartar sauce, and Tabasco sauce
