Mexican Rice My Way

 

Ingredients:

2 cups rice
4 cups water
3 ounces of tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
1 teaspoon chicken bullion
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Handful of cilantro
2 sprigs of green onion

 

 

 

 

 

Directions:

Add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to your cooking pan, preferably one with a lid that fits perfectly, add your rice and brown really well. Add tomato sauce, stir to coat all the rice, then add water and all seasonings along with onion. Bring to a boil, taste for salt. Finally add cilantro, cover with foil and lid. Turn to low for 20 minutes and do not uncover for another 10 minutes. It’s so delicious
